8.3

PSA

PSA is an application that runs on the operating system on each partition in the PRIMEQUEST 1800E. PSA manages
the operations of each partition.
PSA is provided only with the PRIMEQUEST 1800E.
In the PRIMEQUEST 1800E2, SVS provides the management function of PSA. For details on the SVS function,
see the SVS manual.
8.3.1

GUI (graphical user interface)

PSA provides the Web-UI functions for managing partition operations.
In linkage with the MMB firmware, PSA enables display and operations on a Web browser through the MMB even
if the partition does not have a Web server function.
The GUI of PSA has the following functions:
- Hardware problem monitoring
- Monitoring of detected driver problems
- Hardware configuration management
- Event filtering/log analysis
- Log collection and display
- Maintenance operation
- REMCS linkage
- Linkage with operations management software

CLI (command line interface)

PSA provides the CLI functions to enable operations from the command line on a console and operations using
scripts. It provides the following commands:
- Disk management command (diskctrl) (not supported by VMware)
- PSA start/stop command (Linux only)
- PSA investigation data collection command
- Filter definition update command
- Local partition number acquisition command
- Serial number acquisition command
- SNMP security setting command (Windows only)
- Firmware information acquisition command
- PCI card operation command (Windows only)
- Firewall setting command for the interface for the management LAN (Linux only)
