PRIMEQUEST 1000 Series General Description
CHAPTER 4 Functions Provided by the PRIMEQUEST 1000 Series
4.4
Saving and Restoring System Setting Information
In a configuration with two MMBs as described above, the system information is stored at three locations: DVDB,
MMB#0, and MMB#1. In a configuration with one MMB, the system information is stored at two locations: DVDB
and MMB. If a failure occurs in any of the components in these configurations, the other component(s) can take
over the information from the failed component.
Also, if a DVDB failure occurs, the MMB firmware uses the system information copied on the MMB to continue
operations.
For details on storing system information, such as firmware setting information and device identification
information, see
9.2.1 System information
storage.
