Backing up response rules

The Network Security console provides a way to delete response rules at any
time.
To delete a response rule
1
In the Network Security console, click Configuration > Response Rules.
2
In Response Rules, select the response rule by clicking in the Number cell
of the response rule row.
3
Click Action > Delete > Response Rule > OK to delete the response rule.
Caution: Be sure to save your changes before exiting the response policy
configuration interface.
After you have modified your response policy by adding, editing, or deleting
response rules, you must save the changes to the database. This step provides a
chance to change your mind and undo your changes before saving them.
To conclude a response policy
1
In Response Policy Configuration, do one of the following:
Click OK to save and exit the configuration.
Click Cancel to undo the configuration and return to the previous
configuration.
Note: It can take a few minutes for response policy changes to take effect. You
can bypass the wait interval by clicking Admin > Force Database Sync.
We recommend that you periodically back up your Symantec Network Security
response policy database.
See
"Backing up and restoring"
