4. Use Notepad or another ASCII text editor to delete the
following entries from the WIN.INI file in the WINDOWS
directory. Only delete the lines indicated by notes in the right
column; the other lines are to help you locate the entries
[
<printer_name>,<port>]
PrinterName=<printer_nickname> <<<Delete this line
[devices]
<printer-name>=ADOBEPS,<port>
[PrinterPorts]
<printer_name>=ADOBEPS,<port>,15,45,...<<<Delete this

If the device= line in the [windows] section of the
WIN.INI file refers to AdobePS, delete that line
also.

Loading Printer Fonts

Included on the Adobe Windows driver is a font downloader located
under Printer Setup. The fonts can be downloaded to the printer's
memory or to an external hard disk drive. Once the font is
downloaded, you can use it as a resident font within your
applications.
Fonts downloaded to an external hard disk survive a power cycle.
Fonts downloaded to printer memory only last through the current
power cycle.

Downloaded PostScript fonts use the printer's virtual
memory. If a PostScript error occurs after the fonts are
downloaded, it may be due to insufficient memory. In
this case, it may be necessary to download the font to an
external hard disk, to remove unused fonts from RAM,
or to add RAM to the printer.
