Allows
the extension user to place a call on hold temporarily to
transfer it, make a Conference call, or perform Call Splitting. The
held call can be retrieved from other extensions.
With a proprietary telephone, Consultation Hold is established by
l
pressing TRANSFER or CONF button. With a standard telephone, it is
established by pressing the hookswitch lightly.
With a standard telephone, the user can hold a call only to transfer it.
l
Doorphone calls and paging calls cannot be placed on Consultation
l
Hold.
A new incoming call will not arise at the extension which is keeping a
l
call on Consultation Hold. The extension is regarded as busy.
If a calling party is placed on hold, music is sent to the party, if
l
available. (Music on Hold)
If a call on hold is not retrieved in a specific period of time, Transfer
l
Recall starts.
If an outside call is placed on hold and not retrieved in 30 minutes, it is
l
automatically disconnected.
