the sewing machine.

When thread is caught at top end 1 of the thread
clamp, thread clamp becomes incomplete and
sewing trouble at the sewing start will be caused.
Thread waste and lint are likely to accumulate in
the sections which are shown in the circles. The
sections should therefore be periodically cleaned
by removing the throat plate and by blowing air
through hole 3 by removing rubber plug 2 .
1) Adjust so that thread breakage detector plate 1
is always in contact with thread take-up spring
2 in the absence of needle thread. (Slack :
approx. 0.5 mm)
2) Whenever the stroke of thread take-up spring
2 has been changed, be sure to readjust
thread breakage detector plate 1 . To make
this adjustment, loosen screw 3 .
Adjust so that thread breakage detec-
tor plate 1 does not touch any adja-
cent metallic parts other than thread
take-up spring 2 .
When polyethylene oiler 1 becomes filled with oil,
remove polyethylene oiler 1 and drain the oil.
