IPv4 and IPv6 network protocols

The HP D2D supports both IPv4 and IPv6. Setup and configuration will default to IPv4, if the
network is configured to support it. On an IPv6–only network, it is normally sufficient to enter
the IPv6 MAC Address (found on the label on the top of the unit) when running the Installation
Wizard. However, if this does not work, you can use the system console, as described in
"Using the system console to discover the HP

Dual network ports

The two physical network ports provide three network configuration modes:
Single Port Configuration: The HP D2D is connected to one network only; only one network port
is used (Port 1).
Dual Port Configuration: The HP D2D is connected to two different networks. Both network ports
are used.
