Use Container
When you define a copy group, the Configuration File Prefix value in the Set Defaults panel is
linked, and the copy group definition file with the following name is created:
prefix.GRP.copy-group-id
The configured dataset name must be specified within 44 characters.

Copy Group Detail Definition Panel

If you select Use Container in the Add Copy Group panel and then press the Enter key, or if you
specify e for the AC of a CG container in the Copy Group Selection List panel, the Copy Group
Detail Definition panel is displayed. This panel allows you to edit by C/T group the copy groups
included in the CG container.

Description
Specify the copy group ID to be added.
Use no more than 38 alphanumeric characters. If the specification exceeds
8 characters, place a period after every 8 characters. Do not use hyphens.
Specify the primary DAD ID.
Use no more than 28 alphanumeric characters. If the specification exceeds
8 characters, place a period after every 8 characters. Do not use hyphens.
Specify the secondary DAD ID.
Use no more 28 alphanumeric characters. If the specification exceeds 8
characters, place a period after every 8 characters. Do not use hyphens.
If the copy type is BC, specify the same value as specified in Device Address
Domain, Primary. When defining a Non Gen'ed volume and a Gen'ed volume
inside the same storage system as a BC copy pair, specify respective values
(the DAD ID specified for an NG scan and the DAD ID specified for a local
scan).
Specify the copy type of the copy group (either BC, CA, CAA, or CAJ).
Select Use Container to define a copy group as a CG container. Clear Use
Container to not define the copy group as a CG container.
