A
APID
An ID for identifying the first DAD ID of a route. The same APID value is used for the primary
DKC and secondary DKC on the same route.
arbitration
A command device used by remote DKCs in a 4x4 configuration to communicate with each other

A path used by the supervisor DKC to communicate with subordinate DKCs in a 4x4 configuration

Audit log information enables you to get operating usage and communication records. Audit logs
are output to SYSLOG when actions or errors that are related to the linkage between XP Replication
Manager Software and the Business Continuity Manager agent occur, such as when the Business
Continuity Manager agent starts or stops.

BCM Monitor
This function supports the automatic operation of copy groups. BCM Monitor automatically
performs operations on copy groups according to the information specified in BCM Monitor
parameter files.
BCM Monitor
A generic name that refers to the YKMONCG and YKMONOPT files. The actions for BCM Monitor
parameter file
are specified in the BCM Monitor parameter files.
Business Continuity
A program required to link with Replication Manager. Business Continuity Manager agent passes
Manager agent
requests between Replication Manager and Business Continuity Manager.
Business Continuity
An environment variable used to run Business Continuity Manager, which is set by using the

YKSETENV command. The Business Continuity Manager environment variable enables the
environment
following settings: host ID, prefix of the license information dataset, whether to use the system
variable
logger service, and whether to output the CLI command-execution logs to SYSLOG.

An operator command used to forcibly stop a Business Continuity Manager agent or BCM Monitor

A cataloged procedure used for startup of a Business Continuity Manager agent or BCM Monitor

CLI command
A command that can be used from the Business Continuity Manager command line interface
configuration file
A generic name that refers to copy group definition files, disk configuration definition files,
command device definition files, route list definition files, and path set definition files.
consistency group
(C/T group) When updating volumes in the group, this preserves consistency in the update
sequence.
consistency time
(C/T Time) The time indicated by the P-VOL I/O timestamp written to the S-VOL. If consistency is
preserved, it assures that the data statuses of the P-VOL and S-VOL match at a consistency time.
copy direction
Flow of the data for matching the S-VOL data with the P-VOL data. In normal operation, data
always flows from a P-VOL to an S-VOL. When a failure occurs or when a return is made, data
may flow from an S-VOL to a P-VOL.
copy group
A group of the several pair volumes that the user uses for the same operation
copy group
A set of multiple consistency groups with the same copy type. The whole copy group container

When URs are in a 4x4 configuration, consistency can be preserved between volumes in a copy
