Address Discovery.
Runtime IP Address Discovery enables the switch module to
automatically accept an IP address from a Boot Strap Protocol (BootP)
server on the network without requiring a user to enter an IP address
through Local Management.
See the subnet mask for the switch module. A subnet mask "masks
out" the network bits of the IP address by setting the bits in the mask to
1 when the network treats the corresponding bits in the IP address as
part of the network or subnetwork address, or to 0 if the corresponding
bit identifies the host. When an IP address is entered in the IP Address
field, the Subnet Mask field automatically changes to the default subnet
mask for that IP address. For details about how to change the subnet
