Removing a memory module

To remove a dual inline memory module (DIMM), complete the following steps.
DIMM
1. Read the safety information that begins on page vii and "Installation guidelines"
2. Turn off the server and all attached devices.
3. Disconnect all external cables and power cords.
4. Remove the cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 39).
5. Remove the riser-card assembly (see "Removing the riser-card assembly" on

7. Open the retaining clip on each end of the DIMM connector and lift the DIMM
