Table 2 describes the function of the jumpers on the system board.

Jumper
number Jumper description
J33 Wake on LAN: The default position is pins 1 and 2. Change the position of this jumper to pins 2 and
3 to prevent a Wake on LAN packet from waking the system when the system is in the power-off
state.
J35 BIOS recovery: The default position is pins 1 and 2 (use the primary page during startup). Move the
jumper to pins 2 and 3 to use the secondary page during startup (see "Recovering the BIOS code" on
page 156 for additional information about BIOS recovery mode).
J37 Power-on password: The default position is pins 1 and 2. Changing the position of this jumper to
pins 2 and 3 bypasses the power-on password check the next time the server is turned on and starts
the Configuration/Setup Utility so that you can change or delete the power-on password.
Changing the position of this jumper does not affect the administrator password check if an
administrator password is set. If you forget the administrator password, you must replace the system
board.
Notes:
1. Before moving any jumpers, turn off the server; then, disconnect all power cords
2. Any system-board jumper blocks that are not shown in the illustrations in this
