Read the documentation that comes with the microprocessor to determine whether
you must update the basic input/output system (BIOS) code. To download the most

3. Disconnect all external cables and power cords.
4. Remove the cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 39).
5. Remove the riser-card assembly (see "Removing the riser-card assembly" on

6. Remove the air baffle (see"Removing the air baffle" on page 41).
7. Open the heat-sink release latch to the fully-open position.
8. Lift the heat sink out of the server.
