Powering Down the System

Powering Down the System
You may need to power down the system to add upgraded equipment to
the carrier.

CAUTION:
Follow these steps in the exact sequence.
To power down the system, follow the steps below and see Figure 9–2:
Turn off the power supply on the basic carrier.
Turn off the power supplies on the expansion carriers.
Unplug any auxiliary power units.
Because the power supplies are already off, the sequence for removing
auxiliary power cords is not important.
Unplug the system from the AC outlet.
