Downloading the Pagis Viewer

5. Pull down the File menu and click the Print command.
This immediately starts the Print to XIF process. The XIF file is
automatically created and given the name:
Pagis (n).xif
where n is a sequential number. With each successive XIF
document that you create, the number is incremented (n + 1).
The XIF file is created in the Pagis Inbox, and after printing is
complete, the Pagis Inbox is opened and the file is selected
automatically.
You may want to share scanned XIF documents with friends,
relatives, or colleagues who do not have Pagis Pro on their
personal computers.
For just this purpose, ScanSoft, Inc. provides a Pagis Viewer,
which runs in Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0
only. See "Table 3–2. Editors and Viewers Supplied by Pagis" for
a comparison of the various ways to edit and view documents.
Unlike the Pagis Document Viewer, which you can attach to a
XIF document and e-mail to others, the Pagis Viewer is a royalty-
free program that you (or others) can download from the Pagis
Pro website:
www.pagis.com
Use Netscape, Internet Explorer, or any World Wide Web browser
that enables downloads.
When you access the Pagis website, you are directed to the Free
Downloads page. From there, find and download the Pagis
Viewer.
