To search for documents created or modified within a timeframe,
click the Find all files created or modified radio button, then
select one of the radio buttons under this. Select:

Name and Type tab
The Name and Type tab on the Search Tool enables you to limit
the search by the file name and/or the file type.
An edit field enables you type in the name (or partial name) of the
document you are searching for.
A drop-down menu enables you to specify any of the file types
supported in search databases, for example, Bitmap Image (BMP)
or Text Document (TXT).
Advanced tab
The Advanced tab on the Search Tool enables you to specify
Boolean and Advanced Boolean search operators.
Boolean searches—Using a Boolean search string, you can
define more specific searches. There are three Boolean operators:
