Pagis Pro can connect to, but may not be able to directly control,

all TWAIN scanners, and digital cameras. In such cases, you start
the scanning process in Pagis. The manufacturer's TWAIN
interface then appears, allowing you to control scanner or camera
settings and operations. Once the scanning process finishes, the
TWAIN interface passes the scanned image or photograph to
Pagis where you can use the rest of the Pagis features, such as
editing, adding keywords, and adding the file to a search
database.
Running the Scanner Setup Wizard
The Scanner Setup Wizard starts automatically the first time you
run the Scan Tool after installing Pagis on your system. This tool
guides you through the process of setting up a scanner for use
with Pagis and TextBridge.
If you want to install a different scanner or digital camera after
the initial scanner setup, or if you want to diagnose and fix
problems, the Scanner Setup Wizard also helps you through those
processes.
To ensure that your scanner works independently of Pagis, you

should install the scanner and test it according to the scanner
manufacturer's instructions before you run the Pagis Scanner
Setup Wizard.
1. Click the Scan Tool icon on the Pagis ToolBar.
If no scanner has been selected to run with Pagis and TextBridge,
the Scanner Setup Wizard Dialog Box appears (Figure 4–15).
