system every day—documents you scan; documents you create in
your word processor or spreadsheet program; documents you
download from the World Wide Web; documents you receive as
e-mail attachments.
Day by day, your hard drive and removable media fill up with
data, which a week or month from now you may want to retrieve.
But will you remember where you stored it on your system?
With database management and search tools provided by Pagis
Pro, you can easily manage your scanned and electronic
documents. Later, you can search for and retrieve virtually any
document, anywhere in your file system, in a few moments.
The file management tools that Pagis Pro provides are the:
Search Database Manager, which enables you to create,
configure, schedule updates for, and otherwise maintain your
search databases.
Update Search Databases Tool, which runs the Search
Database Manager to create or update a database. During
updating, Pagis searches through all supported electronic
documents, and indexes the text they contain. On scanned
documents, and other supported image file formats, Pagis uses
TextBridge OCR to recognize and index the text these files
contain.
Search Tool, which searches through the databases for the
specified file(s).

Update tools, which let you simplify document management in
