Command to create
and edit form fields

Table 4–12 provides a brief description of the commands in the
Forms menu. For related information, please refer to "Filling Out
Forms" later in this chapter.
Table 4–12. Forms menu commands in the Pagis Editor
Command Function
Detect
Runs an analysis of a scanned form displayed in the
Fields
Pagis Editor, detects fields, and inserts empty text
annotations in each field that you can type text into.
Add Field
Changes the mouse pointer to a text annotation
symbol so you can create a new, rectangular text
field.
Remove All
Removes all form fields from the displayed page.
Fields
Note that other types of annotations, even regular
text or stick note annotations, are left untouched.
Edit Field
Places a typing cursor in the currently selected field,
ready for entering text. If no field is currently
selected, this command is dimmed (unavailable).
Clear All
Removes all text from the form fields on the current
Text
page. The form fields themselves remain intact.
Options
Displays a dialog box to define text attributes for
form field annotations. For more information, see
"Specify annotation options" later in this chapter.
