In XIF format, Pagis Pro uses JPEG compression, which
supports a range of compression ratios. The trade-off is loss of
image quality for more compression. If you are archiving a lot of
images and are most concerned about file size, adjust the slider
accordingly.
In contrast, if you are concerned about image quality problems
that can be introduced by the JPEG compression process, choose
a higher quality setting.
Using the Export command
Pagis Pro can export to a number of popular image formats,
including XIF 2.0, TIFF, FlashPix, BMP, PCX, DCX,
Encapsulated Postscript, JPEG, and many others.
See Appendix A for a list of supported image formats.
In the Editor's File menu, when you select the Export command,
the Export File dialog box is displayed (Figure 4–52). This dialog
is similar to a standard Windows 95 Save As dialog.
