Each menu is iterated a set number of times. This number is set by your provider. If no selection is made when the set number of
iterations is reached, the system enters an idle state, displayed by the overlay above.
The system can enter the idle state from either the profile menu or the function card menu. To exit the idle state, you must provide
a select demand. When exiting the idle state, the system returns to the profile or function menu depending on the Navigation entry
setting. For more information about the Navigation entry, refer to 4.5.5 Navigation Entry Points in Menu Scan, page 33.
Operation in List View
When in profile list, the exit button is highlighted after highlighting the last profile in the list. When in the function list, the
back button is highlighted after highlighting the last function in the list.

Operation in Grid View
For menu scan in grid view, menu items are displayed in one s ingle grid, showing profiles and functions at the same time. The
system navigates automatically through the menu items, moving left t o right when in a profile, and from top to bottom, through
the profiles w hen no profile is selected.
Whenever a menu item (profile o r function) is highlighted, you can choose to select it or ignore i t. If a highlighted profile is
ignored, the next profile below it i s highlighted. If a highlighted function is ignored, the next function t o the right is highlighted
after a short duration. The duration between h ighlighting menu items is set by the provider.
If a ll functions are ignored in a profile, the system reverts to highlighting p rofiles only. After highlighting the final profile, the exit
button i s highlighted.
