Possible Cause
Magnetic stripe writing
error
An external device, such
as the optional laminator,
is not working.
Magnetic card reading
error.
Magnetic stripe module
communication error.
External device switch
setting error.
External retransfer unit jam
error.
External unit
communications error.
The laminator
communication is lost.
Solution
1 Check the orientation of magnetic stripe cards in
the card hopper as described in
page 8
.
2 Press RESET, and then ENTER to initialize the
printer.
1 Check that the laminator's power switch is on.
2 Make sure that the cable connecting the laminator
to the printer is plugged in securely.
3 Turn the printer and optional laminator power
switches off and then on again.
4 Call for service if the problem persists.

2 Press RESET, and then ENTER to initialize the
printer.
