Orientation
The direction of the arrow on the nameplate helps you to install the measuring device
according to the flow direction (direction of medium flow through the piping).

1)
The measuring device should be self-draining for hygiene applications. A vertical orientation is
recommended for this. If only a horizontal orientation is possible, an angle of inclination α ≥ 10° is
recommended.
2)
Applications with low process temperatures may reduce the ambient temperature. To maintain the
minimum ambient temperature for the transmitter, this orientation is recommended.
3)
Applications with high process temperatures may increase the ambient temperature. To maintain the
maximum ambient temperature for the transmitter, this orientation is recommended.
4)
To prevent the electronics from overheating in the event of strong heat formation (e.g. CIP or SIP cleaning
process), install the device with the transmitter part pointing downwards.
