Electrical installation
What this chapter contains
This chapter describes the electrical installation procedure of the drive.

Ignoring the safety instructions can cause injury or death.
Make sure that the drive is disconnected from the mains (input power) during the
installation. If the drive is already connected to the mains, wait for 5 minutes after
you disconnect the mains power.
Checking the insulation of the installation
Drive
Do not make any voltage tolerance or insulation resistance tests on any part of the
drive as testing can damage the drive. Every drive was tested for insulation between
the main circuit and the chassis at the factory. Also, there are voltage-limiting
circuits inside the drive which cut down the testing voltage automatically.
Supply cable
Check the insulation of the supply (input) cable according to local regulations before
connecting to the drive.
