Solving Common Problems

This table presents common problems and their solutions.
Problem
Restarting the unit after
encountering a failure has
not solved the problem.
Measurement results are off.
The reference power
measurement differs from
the source output power.
Deleting the Configuration File
Usually, when a problem occurs it is resolved by restarting the unit.
However, it may happen that after restarting the unit the problem persists,
then deleting the configuration file is the next step to take.
To delete the configuration file:
1. Press
2. Select Utilities and press
3. Select File Manager and press
4. Select Certification OLTS and press the right arrow.
5. Select Configuration and press the right arrow.
6. Press
7. Restart the unit.
OLTS and Power Meter
Cause
The configuration file is
corrupted.
Temperature or
humidity change have
offset the detector.
A recalibration is
needed.
The source power is
outside the power meter's
range.
, select System and press
to activate the Olts.cfgcert file and press Delete.
Delete the configuration file
(refer to Deleting the
Configuration File).
Perform and offset
nulling (refer to Nulling
the Offsets on page 11).
Refer to Recalibrating
the Unit on page 43.
Change the output power of
the source
