Using a Source

Your unit can contain two source ports: a 2- or 3- wavelength singlemode
port and a 2-wavelength multimode port, depending on the configuration
(see Technical Specifications on page 53).
The source signal can be continuous (CW or high power) or modulated
(270 Hz, 1 kHz, or 2 kHz). It can also be in auto-wavelength or
auto-switching mode.

Activating/Deactivating the Light Source

When you activate the light source, you can select the desired wavelength
at the same time.
To activate the light source and a select a wavelength:
1. Press
Source.
2. Using the arrows next to the
function keys (F1/F2/F3), select
the View tab.
3. Using the up/down arrows, select
Power and press
4. Select ON and press
5. Select Wavelength using the arrows and press
6. Select the desired wavelength, and then press
To deactivate the light source:
1. From the Home menu, select Light Source.
2. Select Power, in the list select OFF, and press
OLTS and Power Meter
and select Light
