Keypads are the interface to the system. They are
used to:
request dispense jobs,
configure the system,
monitor system activities,
and check and update fluid inventories.
There are three types of keypads, each with a distinct
purpose.
Basic Keypad
The Basic Keypad is the model most used with a
system. It has a set of large numeric keys and the
additional keys needed to navigate through the Hori-
zon's menus (up and down arrows, HOME and BACK,
and the ENTER keys).
All run and inventory functions of the system can be
accessed with this keypad. However, information that
requires the entry of letters cannot be input with this
keypad. Operator PIN (personal identification number)
numbers must contain only numbers. If the operator is
required to input data to the Job Number, Vehicle ID or
custom-input fields, only numbers can be input.

Enhanced Keypad with Bar Code Reader
The Enhanced Keypad provides all the functionality of
the Basic Keypad, with the added functionality of a bar
code reader.
The bar code reader can input data into three optional
data fields:
1. Job Number field,
2. Vehicle ID field and
3. Custom-input field (user can choose what to name
and record in this field).
Each of the three fields accepts up to seven characters
input. If the bar code reader reads in more than seven
characters, the characters will wrap in the field, over-
writing earlier characters.
The bar code reader can also be used with the Admin-
istrative Keypad.
