Z-Wave Setup

Before a Z-Wave device will work in the home control network, it must be added (also called included) into the network.
View the Programming of Z-Wave Devices training video and follow the instructions below to add and control devices in
a home control network.
EXISTING NETWORK NOTE: Z-Wave products from other manufacturers can be included (added)
into the Tuxedo network at any time. Z-Wave devices that are always powered can serve as
repeaters regardless of manufacturer
WARNING: Automation is intended for lifestyle convenience. Do not use automation for life safety
and property protection.

Automation functionality is supplementary only and has not been evaluated.
Z-Wave applications have not been evaluated.

Z-Wave device Management Screen Device List

The "Z-Wave Device Management Screen Device List" is composed of 5 columns.
Displays the device or "Node" ID displayed in numerical order as you "Include" or "Add" Devices
DEVID
NOTE: Once a device is excluded, that node number cannot be used again, unless the controller is defaulted.
Displays default and custom device names
NAME
Displays the Z-Wave device type (i.e. multilevel switch, binary switch, entry controller, etc.)
TYPE
Displays the following Icons:
INFO
Router:
The device is a routing slave
and can be used as a repeater.
Displays the following messages:
STATUS
Not in Secure Network
Up Date Timed Out
Scene
Setup
Chain Link:
The node (device) can
send unsolicited
messages to the Tuxedo.
The node has reported a normal status report.
Success Network
Communication with this device has been lost.
Failed
Search was successful when running "Search Devices" operation on a
Update Success
device.
Search was unsuccessful when running "Search Devices" operation on a
Update Failed
device.
Device is expected to be secured (such as an entry controller, but failed
to receive the encrypted key. (Remove device and add again closer to
the Tuxedo.)
This message appears when a device does not respond when requested
during a "Scan Network" is performed.
