PRECAUTIONS FOR ACCESSING AND REUSING THE DEVICE AFTER AN INCOMPLETE
CYCLE AND FOR ACCESSING THE DEVICE AT END-OF-LIFE
The instructions relating to the device's safety in the event of an incomplete operating cycle are provided in
IEC 61010-2-040.
WARNING
The load and the internal parts of the device might be biologically contaminated/infected.
If a disinfection cycle is interrupted (by the user or due to an alarm generated by the device itself):
take care when handling the instruments and the load in general in the washing chamber.
Before handling the product or load or performing any maintenance procedures: perform a full
thermal disinfection cycle or, if a complete cycle is not possible, handle instruments with due care,
using the protective equipment specified when handling infected instruments, e.g. gloves, lab
coat, face mask.
DANGER, HOT SURFACES
The device performs a thermal disinfection cycle using high-temperature steam and detergents. If,
in the event of a failure, there is steam in the chamber and the door is open: avoid contact with
the skin, burning hazard and risk of irritation due to the toxicity of the chemicals.
Contact authorised technical staff in the event of a failure.
