    Although the library does not require tape cartridges to have bar code labels, properly labeled tape cartridges and full storage bins speed up the inventory process. The P3000 holds up to 16 tape drives, including combinations of Tape Drives DLT and SDLT, or DLT and LTO.
  • Page 32: Load Port And Magazines

    When fewer than 16 tape drives are installed, the tape drives must occupy consecutive drive bays, beginning with drive bay 0. The drives used in the P3000 are more reliable than standard drives due to the automated environment. The P3000 can be populated simultaneously with DLT, SDLT, or LTO tape drives.
