Using the ViewStation with a PC

This chapter describes how to use a PC with a ViewStation and the
various tasks you can perform from the PC.
The ViewStation is equipped with an embedded Web server that
allows the PC user to access ViewStation features such as:
• Select a Presentation
• View a Presentation
• Closed Caption
• Start NetMeeting
• System Information and Management
These features are accessed on the ViewStation Web interface
screen. To access these features, connect your PC to the
ViewStation over the LAN or through a direct Ethernet connection.
There are three ways to connect a PC to the ViewStation. Refer to
the ViewStation QuickStart card for detailed information on
connecting cables.
It is assumed that the ViewStation is connected to the Ethernet LAN
as shown in Figure 4-1 (a and b).
