Observe the following:
•
Do not store excess cabling in the rear of the server. This blocks airflow and increases heat inside the
server.
•
Extra cable slack should be stored towards the front of the server, near the drive backplane.
Backup power cable
A smart storage battery is required with this controller. Your riser might look different from the one shown. To
locate a backup power connector, see "Riser board components".
