1.3 Technical Specification

1.3.1 Power

Supply voltages are:
• 5.0 Volt
• 3.3 Volt
• 5.0 Volt IPMB_PWR
Power consumption of the CP6930:
• Management only (handle open): <1W
• Idle (no links): 35W
• Maximum (full traffic/load): 59W
No external power sequencing is required.
The board supports signaling voltages V(I/O) of either 3.3 V or 5 V. No keying is required on J1 to designate
universal V(I/O).

1.3.2 Mechanics

Compliant to PICMG® 2.0 6U/4HP (233.35 mm by 160 mm) / (20.32 mm typ.)
Max. Comp height top: 13.71 mm
Max. Comp height bottom: 1.9 mm
Weight: 740g
The board uses a one piece custom heat sink extending from the bottom to the top of the board covering all
major chips and ensuring stiffness of the complete PCB assembly.
The board uses standard CPCI front panels and handles.

1.3.3 CPCI Keying

The board supports Standard Fabric Board Keying or Extended Fabric Keying as required by PICMG® 2.10
R1.0 and PICMG® 2.16 R1.0.
The board is populated with the J4 connector and load the IEC 61076-4-101 Blue/Lilac (RAL #4005) key
(code 2478) in the connector cavity.

1.3.4 Temperature

• Operation from 0° C to +60° C inlet air temperature
• Storage temperature range -50° C to +105° C
Required average inlet airflow should be around 400LFM (2 m/s) for the maximum cooling. Other thermal
limitations may apply and are the responsibility of the system integrator (see chapter 5).
