Product Overview

The CP6930 is a Standard Fabric 6U CompactPCI Gigabit Ethernet Switch with 24 channels providing Layer 2
and Layer 3 switching/routing functions in a PICMG 2.16 compliant form factor.
The product features 24 x 1000Base-T ports to the PICMG 2.16 backplane plus 8 x 1GbE front panel Interfaces
via standard MSA SFP+ cages. Six of the front panel Interfaces can be switched to 10GbE operation using
SFP+ optical transceivers.

• Supports 23x Link Ports to Node boards [10/100/1000Base-T via external Copper PHY]
• Supports 1x Link Port to Fabric board [10/100/1000Base-T via external Copper PHY]
• Supports 8 front panel uplinks:
• 6x 10GBase-X SFP+ uplinks to front panel
• 2x 1GBase-X SFP uplinks to the front panel
• Supports 1x 1000Base-BX interlink between BCM56526 and PPC405EX
• Latest Broadcom OctalPHYs for copper based backplane links
• Broadcom BCM8727 dual 10GbE PHYs for front panel 1/10GbE uplinks
• Pulse Quad Transformers, BGA
