Trigger Indicates whether the patient (Patient) or ventilator (Timed) is
triggering a breath.
Bar Continuous display of measured patient circuit pressure.

S/T Mode Settings Screen

Figure 25 shows the S/T Mode settings screen.
The S/T screen includes these elements:

Settings

IPAP Inspiratory positive airway pressure, the inspiration pressure
setting. IPAP cannot be set below EPAP.
EPAP Expiratory positive airway pressure, the exhalation pressure
setting.
Rise- How quickly the ventilator increases inspiratory pressure from
Time EPAP pressure to 67% of the pressure support level.
Ramp Period over which the ventilator increases respiratory pressure
Time from Ramp Start setting to EPAP setting.
