5.9. Controlling and monitoring the sonication
The Hardware Status Area at the bottom of the screen is used for controlling the Sonalleve MR-
HIFU system during the sonication phase and for monitoring the status of the system and the
treatment.
The Hardware Status Area includes the following functions:
System Status Display.
Sonication buttons.
Message area.
Information on the progress of the sonication is also displayed as:
Temperature and thermal dose overlays.
Temperature curve in the Sonicate and Analysis tabs.

Removes the selected object.
Marks the selected treatment cell as safety checked, or removes the
mark.
The cells that are marked safety checked are shown in green (see
5.7.3.2. Treatment cell visualization).
Opens the drop-down list from which the cell size and type can be
selected. If you do not select a cell from the list, the cells added will be 4
mm feedback cells.
Function/Use
Adds a new, empty treatment cell cluster.
Copies the selected treatment cell cluster.
Removes the subitems of the selected object.
Used for drawing an area around an area to be
automatically filled with treatment cells.
Fills the autopopulation area with treatment cells of the
selected type.
