WARNING
Do not treat patients unless the reason for a QA Test failure is clear and it is certain that
there is no increased risk to the patient.

7.2.4. Storing the QA phantom

The properties of the QA phantom affect the test results. If the phantom is damaged the results
may be unreliable. Therefore, follow the handling and storage instructions of the phantom and if
necessary order a new phantom.
The QA Phantom Plate serves as a storage platform for the QA phantom. The QA Phantom Plate
elevates the QA phantom so that the membrane does not rest on any surface. This is to avoid
damaging the sensitive membrane.
1.
Place the QA Phantom Plate on a hard flat level surface. Make sure that within the opening of
the plate there are no objects that could puncture the membrane of the phantom.
2.
Place QA phantom on the QA Phantom Plate with the membrane facing down.
