3. System overview > 3.3. Other accessories
As air bubbles in the ultrasound beam path may cause undesirable effects, such as reflections or
local heating, the acoustic contact liquid must be degassed before use to prevent bubble formation.
The amount of dissolved oxygen must be below 4 mg/l (ppm, parts per million).
See 7.4. Making degassed acoustic contact liquid for instructions for preparing degassed water or
water-ultrasound gel mixture.
NOTICE
A specially designed EasyWater Degasser is available from the manufacturer for producing
degassed water. For a description, see EasyWater Degasser Instructions for Use.

3.3. Other accessories

The following accessories used in the Sonalleve MR-HIFU system quality assurance are provided
with the system:
Ultrasound window cover.
Sonalleve QA phantom.
QA phantom plate.
SPT (System Performance Testing) phantom holder.
DISCfill tool
NOTICE
The SPT phantom is a part of the MR system and not provided with the Sonalleve MR-HIFU
system.
If you need replacements for accessories, contact your local Profound Medical representative.
