6.11. Removing the Sonalleve Table Top

Before using the MR system for diagnostic imaging, replace the Sonalleve Table Top with the
standard tabletop.
1.
Press the red Stop button on the Safety Device to disable the generators.
2.
If the Table Top Extension Plate is in use, unlock the plate by pressing the release buttons and
remove it. Put the detachable handle back in place. Ensure that the handle is properly locked.
3.
Unplug the Sonalleve Coil Cable(s) and the headphone cable from their sockets. Hang the
cables on their holders on the Sonalleve Table Top.
4.
Unplug the HIFU Coil cable. If your Sonalleve MR-HIFU system is equipped with an
accessory cart, place the coil and its cable in the holder on the accessory cart.
5.
Disconnect the Sonalleve Control Cable and Ultrasound Cable. Place the cables in their holders
on the accessory cart. Wrap the cables around the accessory cart.
6.
Disconnect the DISC hoses.
7.
Release the brake pedal and move the trolley to its storage area.
8.
Remove all pads and accessories from the Table Top, and clean the Table Top. For
recommended cleaning agents, see 7.3. Cleaning and disinfection.
9.
Place the ultrasound window cover on the ultrasound window to protect the membrane from
damage.
10.
With Ingenia MR scanners: Replace the thin Table Top used for diagnostic imaging, if it was
removed in order to position the Sonalleve Table Top.
11.
Connect the MR Nurse Call Button and check that it functions.

6.12. Sonalleve Table Top storage

The Sonalleve Table Top, gel pads and the QA phantom used with the Sonalleve MR-HIFU
system must be maintained above freezing temperatures to prevent any damage caused by the
formation of, and/or the expansion of ice.
