The G in the port tables denotes 10/100/1000 (Gigabit) copper or GBIC ports on
the ESW520 series switches, and denotes the single G1 interface on the 8 port
versions of the switch.
The following steps show one example of using the Smart Ports Setting Wizard to
configure access points. It is not necessary to configure your switch in this manner.
Click on the System Dashboard, and then on the Smartports Wizard. The
Ports Wizard
opens.
To change a port from the default setting to a different role, highlight the
appropriate port on this page by clicking on it, then select a different profile from
the drop-down list under Assign Profile:

Configure ports 4-6 for Access Points.
