POWER REQUIREMENTS

2.3.1. Selecting the Correct Mains Voltage

Power requirements are 100 to 240 volts AC at 50 or 60 Hz. The 8010TM has a universal power supply
that automatically senses the input voltage. Power should be applied by connecting a 3-wire grounding
type power supply cord to the power entry module on the rear panel. The power cord should be
minimum 18 AWG wire size; type SVT marked VW-1, maximum 2.5 m in length.
The power entry module combines a standard power inlet connector, two 5 x 20 mm fuse holders and
an EMI line filter.

2.3.2. Changing the Fuse

CAUTION: For continued protection against the risk of fire, replace only with the
same type and rating of fuse.
ATTENTION: Pour éviter les risques d'incendie, remplacer le fusible avec un
fusible de même calibre.
The fuse holder is located inside the power entry module. To change the fuses, disconnect the line
cord from the power entry module and pull out the fuse holder from the power entry module using a
small screwdriver. The fuse holder contains two fuses, one for the line and one for the neutral side of
the mains connection. Pull out the blown fuse and place a fuse of the correct value in its place. Use
slo blo (time delay) 5 x 20 mm fuses rated for 250 Volts with a current rating of 1 amp. Carefully
reinsert the fuse holder into the power entry module.

CONNECTING THE DIGITAL VIDEO

2.4.1. Video Input

The 8010TM requires that a digital video source be connected to the SDI IN video input. The 8010TM
may be configured to accept either 525 or 625 line digital video in the component (4:2:2) format. The
VIDEO TYPE parameter on the front panel menu must be set correctly to match the video input. (See
section 3.6.1 for information on changing the VIDEO TYPE setting). When the VIDEO TYPE parameter
is set to 422 Auto the 8010TM will automatically detect the video standard of the input.
The Video LED indicator will be On when there is video present matching the selected video type.
When it is blinking it indicates that there is video present but the VIDEO TYPE menu item does not
match the input video format.
