Connect the Cords and Cables

The following figure shows the Sun Fire V490 server back panel and identifies the
AC power inlet and the I/O ports.

Connect a power cord to each AC inlet. See

Connect a TPE cable to at least one Ethernet port. See
a Twisted-Pair Ethernet Cable" on page
Use this port to set up a tip connection or to connect an ASCII
terminal. See the Sun Fire V490 Server Administration Guide for
instructions. If you are connecting to an ASCII terminal, use an
RJ-45 cable and the DB-25 adapter (Sun Part Number 530-2889-
03) included in the ship kit.
