2. Coarse/Fine focusing knobs
a) The tension of the coarse
focusing knob is tight.
b) The focusing is lost during
observation due to dropping of
the objective on its own or slip
of the fine adjustment knob.
3. Light intensity knob
a) The brightness cannot be
adjusted even though the
brightness control knob on the
front of the microscope frame is
rotated.
4. Observation tube
a) The fields of view of two eyes
do not coincide.
5. Stage
a) When you touch the stage
with hand, the image moves
significantly.
6. Revolving nosepiece
a) The rotation tension of the
revolving nosepiece it tight or
it rattles.

Problem
The coarse focusing tension
adjustment ring is tightened too
firmly.
The coarse focusing tension
adjustment ring is loosened too far.
The AC adapter, power cord or
cable for LED light source is not
connected.
The microscope frame or the LED
light source is damaged.
The interpupillary distance is not
correct.
The diopter difference is not
corrected properly.
The different eyepiece is used for
right and left eyes.
The user is not used to the parallel
optical axis.
The positioning pin of the eyepiece
is not in the groove of the sleeve.
The stage is not secured properly.
The rotation part of the coded
revolving nosepiece interferes with
the cable holder.
Cause
Loosen the coarse focusing
tension adjustment ring to the
appropriate tightness.
Tighten the coarse focusing
tension adjustment ring to the
appropriate tightness.
Set the main switch to
and connect the AC adapter,
power cord and cable for LED light
source to the microscope frame.
Contact Olympus.
Adjust it correctly.
Adjust it correctly.
Replace the eyepiece and use the
same eyepiece for both eyes.
Do not look at the image
immediately after looking into the
eyepiece, but look at the whole
field of view. (Or release your eyes
from eyepieces and look far once,
and then look into the eyepieces.)
Insert it properly.
Secure the stage firmly.
Rotate the cable holder so that
the cable holder does not interfere
with the rotation part of the coded
revolving nosepiece.
