Section 4: Parts and Module Replacement
11. Lock the setscrews, and re-check the boresight quality. Tighten the setscrew enough to make sure they will
not shift.
4.12.2 Convergence
NOTICE! Adjusting convergence incorrectly may damage the projector light engine. Convergence should
only be adjusted by a Christie accredited service technician.
Convergence tool kit required: 003-000078-XX
A convergence problem is evident when 1 or more projected colors (red/green/blue) appears mis-aligned when
examined with a convergence test pattern. Normally all 3 colors should overlap precisely to form pure white
lines throughout the image. Convergence will be required when 1 or more individual colors appear adjacent to
some or all of the lines.
1. Power on the projector and let the lamp warm up for a minimum of 30 minutes.
2. Remove the top cover. See
4-34
UV Exposure - Protective UV glasses must be worn when performing
convergence adjustments.
Boresight must be correct before adjusting convergence. Do NOT adjust
plungers.
Observe all electrostatic precautions. Use a grounded wrist strap when
handling electronic assemblies.
Remove the Top
Cover.
