various clients, the assignments are not lost after a restart (owing perhaps to a power
failure).
The assignments to the clients are saved in the system controller to which the NV9649 and
the NV9649s are connected. We call the set of all client assignments a "setup. " The NV9649
and the NV9649s are further designed so that you can define up to 12 different named
setups. Panel operators can select any of the different setups for purposes that suit the
operations at your facility. For example, different operators may prefer to use their own
client setup. Different client setups could be used at different times of the day. The choices
are flexible.
One setup always exists. That is the "default" setup. The other setups are optional and are
named in the NV9649 configuration page.
There are up to 12 setups because they conveniently fit on the 12 buttons at the left side of
the NV9649.
It is through the 'Manage Config' button of the menu that operators can manage these
different setups:

The 'Manage config' menu has 3 buttons:

'Recall Set-Up'
This button presents the 'Recall' menu in which you can activate one of the named setups.
This button is gray and so are the buttons of the 'Recall' menu:

The button for the currently active setup is high-tally.
To activate a different setup, simply press the button for any named setup.
To go back to the 'Manage Configs' menu, press 'Exit Recall' at the right.
Whenever you recall, save, or clear any named setup, that setup becomes the current
setup. Subsequent source and destination assignments are recorded in the current
setup and other setups are not affected.
