Cabling Switches with TwinAx Cables

96
You can use any Allied Telesis TwinAx cable to connect the switches in a
stack. Allied Telesis provides the following TwinAx cables:
AT-SP10TW1—1 meter SFP+ direct attach cable
AT-SP10TW3—3 meter SFP+ direct attach cable
AT-SP10TW7—7 meter SFP+ direct attach cable
Note
You must use a verified Allied Telesis TwinAx cable or SFP+ module
to configure switches in a VCStack. Cables and modules from other
vendors are not supported and will fail to create an active link.
Caution
A transceiver can be damaged by static electricity. Be sure to
observe all standard electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions,
such as wearing an antistatic wrist strap, to avoid damaging the
device.
For guidelines on cabling switches, refer to "Planning a Stack" on page 51.
To cable the switches of a stack with a TwinAx cable, perform the
following procedure:
1. Remove the dust plug from the S1 slot on the top switch of the stack,
as shown in Figure 56.
