Reader/Controller Types

The different types of units described in this manual are:
• Type 55 has PIN only
• Type 65 has PIN and Proximity card
AYC-E55
AYC-E65B
Upon power-on reset, the AYC-Ex5 searches for the presence of
Rosslare's secure application appurtenances. If a secure
application appurtenance is detected, then the AYC-Ex5 is
automatically configured as a secure access control unit. This is
indicated by two short beeps. If the secured controller is not
detected, it is automatically configured as a reader, indicated by
one short beep.

Box Content

Before beginning verify that all of the following is in the box. If
anything is missing, please report the discrepancy to your nearest
Rosslare office.
• One AYC-E55 or AYC-E65B unit
• Installation kit
• Installation and operating instructions
• secure application appurtenance (optional for controller
applications)
