Setting Usernames and Passwords in the Console

To initially set or change both a username and a password in the Hub Console,
perform the following steps:
From the Main Menu, type 2 and press [Enter]. The Hub Console

[Enter]. The Hub Console Interface displays the following prompt:
Change Hub Console password (Y/[N])?
Type Y and press [Enter]. The Hub Console Interface displays the

Enter new username:
4. If you have an existing username, the current string is displayed at the
prompt. Type a new username and press [Enter]. The Hub Console
Interface displays the following prompt:
Enter new password:
5. If you have an existing password, the current string is displayed at the
prompt. Type a new password and press [Enter]. The Hub Console
Interface displays the following prompt:
Enter password again:
Type the password again and press [Enter]. You have now success-

fully set or changed both a password and a username.
Configuration Reference
As in many password
setting programs, the
Hub Console does not
echo the issuing of the
password string in the
password setting
session. The username,
however, is echoed.
