Disabling Security from Ports in the Console
You can disable security from ports. To disable security on a port, perform
the following steps:
1.
Type Y at the prompt Disable Security from the Ports and press
[Enter]. The screen displays the following prompt:
Apply the disabled security to which ports

Type the port number for which you want security disabled and press
[Enter]. You have several different methods for entering port numbers.
•
For a single port, simply type the port number.
•
For consecutive ports, you can type a range value in, using a dash.
For example 3-7 indicates you want to disable security for ports 3, 4,
5, 6, and 7.
•
For a mix of consecutive and non-consecutive ports, you can use both
dashes and commas. For example, 3-7, 12, 19 indicates you want to
disable security for ports 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 12, and 19.
After you have typed the port number(s), press [Enter]. The screen displays the
following prompt:
Continue with security disable

Ports with assigned
Address Selection
Method allow only
devices with the MAC
Address shown in the
Authorized Address
column to connect.
