Wing Installation
1. Assemble the Wings onto the Center Frame. See
Figure 2-15. At the rear of the Center Frame, slide
the RH or LH Wing Guide Roller into the Center
Frame Yoke/Guide. At the front of the Center Frame,
place a Spacer on each side of the Spherical Bearing,
positioning it between the Center Frame Lugs.
2. Insert 1-3/4 Threaded Pin, place Thick Washer and
hand tighten Slotted Nut. Secure 1-3/4 Threaded Pin
by inserting 1/2-13 x 2-1/4 Bolt from the inside out
with the Locknut on the front.
3. Torque Slotted Nut initially to 350 Ft-Lbs. If nut slot is
not aligned with slotted pin hole in Threaded Pin,
tighten nut up to 400 Ft-Lbs to align next slot. Install
1/4 x 2-1/2 Cotter Pin.
4. Install a 1/8 NPT Zerk Fitting into each Wing Guide
Roller Pin.
5. Attach the Wing Fold Links, to the Wing Frame by
placing the Links between the two Wing Frame Hinge
Lugs. Place the 1-3/4 x 15/16 Sleeve between the
Links. With the Wing Frame Hinge Lugs, Wing Fold
Link and Sleeve holes aligned, insert a 1-1/4 x 7-5/16
Pin into the Wing Frame Hinge Lug. Place 1-1/4 Flat
washer on the end of the Pin and secure with 5/16 x
2 Roll Pins.
6. Attach the Hydraulic Cylinder to the Wing Fold Links
by placing one Link on each side of the Hydraulic
Cylinder Rod End Clevis. Insert 1-1/4 x 9 Pin into the
Wing Fold Links and the Hydraulic Cylinder. Place a
1-1/4 x 14ga Bushing on each side, followed by a
Wing Link Roller on each side. Place 1-1/4 x 14ga
Bushing on each end of the Pin and end to the Wing
Link Roller. Secure with 5/16 x 2 Roll Pins.
